At an awards ceremony held at the Boston Museum of Science, I was proud to be one of two Massachusetts educators honored by the National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT) for promoting and advancing female students in technology disciplines. Even more exciting was sharing the day with one of my rockstars. I nominated Shreya for the Massachusetts Aspirations in Computing Award and she won! The best part of the day was when she accepted her award and took her allotted time to thank teachers. She specifically called out and credited Ms. Freedman and me for inspiring her love of technology, coding, innovation, and entrepreneurship. She brought tears to my eyes ❤
